About

Many years ago Carol was given a handwritten family tree, on a huge piece of paper, of the Boliver family which was her mother's maiden name.

She and her daughter Linda were fascinated by the tree that contained over 500 names with many notes attached to them. Over the next few years, Linda transferred all the names and notes to an online tree. She realised as she did so, that the compiler stopped researching female Bolivers once they married.
So she decided to fill in all the blanks on the female lines.

They then started researching Carol's father John Hinton's line, the rest as they say is history!

There are now over 8000 people on the family tree, all blood relatives or spouses.

So much information and so many stories have been uncovered over the years. Eye On The Past is an insight into their findings and a way to share those stories and images with future generations. We also hope to share our experience, research and tips with your family tree.

We hope you'll cast your eye over our past and enjoy our site.
