I eventually found a photograph of my Great Grandfather Dicken. Not a professional one like his brothers, but one standing at the front door of what could be The Wheatsheaf Inn, Higher Wych, with his wife Mary.

I was expecting Dicken to have a long white beard, as a cousin suggested he had. maybe that came later?
Looking at the photograph I think he has the Hinton nose, as does my grandad, dad, myself and my American cousin Jenny. Looking at the picture of my great grandparents I think maybe I’m fortunate taking after Dicken rather than Mary who looks very stern. I don’t think you would argue with her when she called last orders at the Wheatsheaf which she ran after her mother Margaret Lee died.
As I now had a picture of three male generations I decided to join them in one picture and I think you will agree we are a family with a nose.

I've also added a picture of myself and Jenny standing next to the font in St Alkmunds church, Whitchurch. Mine and Jenny's sixth great grandmother Jane Povah, wife of Richard Hinton, was baptised in that font on 11th February 1682.
